Wen is the owner of Gartman Insurance. He is a graduate from Eastern Kentucky University with a B.S. in occupational therapy where he met his wife, Beth Calvert Gartman. Wen has been an agency owner since 1999 and holds a certified work comp advisor designation.

He comes from a family of insurance professionals as his father retired as an underwriter from Shelter Insurance and his mother retired as a bodily injury claims adjuster from State Farm.

His concentration within the agency is with commercial insurance, and he is a graduate of the following commercial insurance schools: Auto-Owners Commercial Producer School, Travelers Commercial Producer School, State Auto Pacesetter Commercial School, and the Institute of Workers Comp Professionals. Wen concentrates and has developed niches with workers’ compensation, auto service industry, restaurant services, and artisan contractors.
